We have been putting final details together for next week and are delighted to announce the late addition of two more fantastic speakers to our line-up.

Teresa Gonzalea Rico, Project Manager at the Future Cities Catapult will be speaking in our Future Cities Stream. The Future Cities Catapult is one of seven ‘Catapults’ launched by the UK’s Technology Strategy Board. The aim for each of them is to become a world-leading innovation centre in its own specialist area.

Paul Clarke, Head of Local & Devolved Government at ESRI UK, will be speaking in our Best Practice Stream on the area of Geo-Design.

These speakers join an already packed programme. In addition to inspiring content from our speakers, we are also running two hands-on workshop sessions. To join in, remember to bring your laptop. All the software and data you need will be provided on a USB drive. Booking for the workshops will be available at the conference registration when you arrive.

A delegate pack with an updated programme and further details about our speakers and sessions will be circulated digitally to all attendees before the event.

The delegate bookings and levels of interest in the event have been very strong – however if you haven’t yet booked, please consider supporting the event. At only £49+VAT for AGI members, the event offers excellent value. You still have time to join us and we would very much like to see you there.

If you have already booked your attendance, why not start networking before the event? We have loaded event details onto Lanyrd where you can tell people you are attending. We will also be using the hashtag #geobig5 on twitter and the @agiscotland account to discuss the event.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for the more traditional face to face networking on the day, over lunch or coffee. After the event closes we will be heading to The Counting House for networking drinks, sponsored by Kemeling Consulting – if you can’t attend the full day you are still more than welcome to join us there.

See you next week!

This event is sponsored by Ordnance Survey, ESRI UK, thinkWhere and Landmark and supported by Kemeling Consulting. Sponsor opportunities are still available.
